Does anyone know when NYU starts sending out acceptances/rejections. The other thread, which someone pulled up from last year, said that they got in a little after a month after their interview. Or do they just start sending out notifications in January?

Also, there was another thread going around about Einstein's notification dates. I talked to someone in the Admissions Office and they said that they applicants should hear back two months after their interview. So, I know they've been interviewing for a while, so its conceivable that people have already started getting acceptances.

NYU started interviewing early november(I interviewed on Nov 15th), but I haven't heard anything. I called the secretary and she said she didn't know either 🙄. She said the last decisions are sent out Feb 15th which doesn't sound right since I think NYU interviews into April? Well, she's probably as clueless as all of us...

einstein sends out its first set of letters of notification on Jan 15th....so we have another month before anybody hears from them.

i think someone on SDN has already heard from AECOM, that's why i was wondering if they have a different deadline than they used to or something

Hmm, this is pretty interesting. I just was just checking out some stats on mdapplicants.com, and someone has already been admitted to the 2004 entering class already at NYU!

I hope this doesn't mean bad news for the rest of us who've interviewed. 🙁

Naw TF, take some of those profiles with a grain of salt. Some of them are BS.

I know which profile you are talking about tho(28 MCAT right?). That guy's profile been up for a while and I checked 2 weeks ago and it said he got into NYU. I think that's impossible unless he applied EDP to NYU and also applied to a bunch of other schools.

D'oh! I forgot all about those under-the-radar EDP applicants. Good point, Kashue.

Actually that was my applicant profile for the 28 MCAT accepted by NYU. That is true because I did a summer research program for NYU SURP and am consequently good friends with two of the deans. So, I e-mailed my summer research program coordinator (Dean of Graduate Biomedical Sciences) to ask him if they had reviewed my application yet and he said that they will be sending me an acceptance letter in the first week of December. So, that's why I put it up a little early. He also said that the admission is rolling. Hope this clears everything up🙂

Thanks for clearing that up. That makes more sense. Congrats on the awesome interviews/acceptances.

Awesome dude, congrats! Do you know the first week of December is when NYU is sending the rest of its first round acceptances as well?

I think that's how it's probably going to work with NYU(acceptances are rolling) but waitlisted/rejections come later(Feb 15th). My student tour guide interviewed in mid-November 2002, but he didn't hear back until Feb and he got waitlisted. He got in later tho, ofcourse.

Yeah, it seems that they are definitely rolling for acceptances. But I think waitlist notifications might also be rolling, as last year people were notified in Dec and Jan of their waitlist status as well. Hmm, time will tell us soon enough anyway.
