How did you use their table to enter your course work, i have way more courses then they give you room for....

Arr and it says don't just attach a copy of your AMCAS. I am thinking about just making my own table since word won't let me modify theirs.... What did everyone else do?

I'm stapling a table sheet with the courses that didn't fit.

Also, keep in mind what is written in the instructions:
"You must fill in p.3 following the format provided. (If this page is not properly filled in, the app will be returned to you.)"

I am using a couple sheets of p.3 so that I can use their exact format for all that I list. I'm using Adobe Acrobat to fill it in, rather than a typewriter. If you don't have the full verson of acrobat, I would just print out a few pages of p.3 and then use a typewriter.

yeah thats not a bad idea, i was using the word version. I guess i'll just save multiple copies of it and fill it in differently an dprint them out....

WHy can't they just take a copy of amcas, arrrr

Why did you go to all the trouble to fill in AMCAS, have them verify with a sharp pencil that it is correct and then have to fill in coursework again in the secondary?

Glad I didn't apply to NYU

skypilot,

it's NOT totally idiotic. They're not talking about the secondary; they're talking about NYU's primary application. NYU is one of those non-AMCAS schools.

helps to know what you're talking about before dissing it ...

Oh........ "never mind"

😉

(actually I'd like to be the first to welcome NYU to the age of the "centralized application service" which saves countless man hours of mindless labor)

I prefer NYU's application. That is, AMCAS makes the AAMC an unnecessary middle man in the already long and expensive application process. The "centralized application service" adds hundreds of dollars to the cost of applying to medical school (NYU doesn't have a secondary), and makes a joke of secondary applications (as most schools send out secondary apps to all applicants, simply for the $60 - $100 app fee). I'm sure it would be a pain in the ass to fill out loads of nearly identical primary applications, but the savings would make it worthwhile (and would be especialy valuable for people who have to limit the number of schools to which they apply for financial reasons).

How did you guys enter your AP credits? I'm not sure what to put down under College and Grade

For grade are you putting down the letter or the number i.e. A or 4.0. I realize this may be an assinine question, but Columbia's app wanted us to put down number grade. And when I think of "grade" I think of it as a letter grade.

And unless i'm skimming the app too fast, there's no place to put our gpa/sci gpa specifically?

They were with amcas... until amcas started having many problems with their paper to computer transition.

To Geldop.... aren't you going to Upstate?????
