How long does it take to hear back from NYU after an interview? What are the chances of acceptance?

a safe guess would probably be within two weeks. i heard in a week or so, but the admissions committee met the day after my interview. also, that was back in early december.

My interview is on the 17th actually..just trying to gauge what my chances are....are most people accepted who interview? Or is it too late in the game?

Its is definitely harder to get in with late interviews. Schools give out more rejections and put more people on wait list. When i went in early match, they said 75% of seats are taken.

I interviewed a couple weeks ago and heard that there are about 50 seats left. I feel like it might be more then this but im not sure. Anyways good luck on your interview, its a very good experience.

I interviewed there a week ago, and the admission director told me there are still 40 sopts left. I believe we still have a good chance to get in.
I have a question to people who are accepted. Do they send you acceptance/rejection letter through an email or mail?

They will notify you through snail mail. If the mail is in a big white envelope, its an acceptance letter. Good luck everyone and I am looking forward to meeting you all next year.

hey thanks for the replies. Just another question, how many people interview each day? It seems, from what the lady told me, that NYU interviews on Monday and Friday so if it is only a few ppl interviewing each day, we should have a good chance, right?

There were 13 people on my day including me. So, I believe we have a good chance 😳
