Hello,

Has anyone else on here been accepted into the DDS program at NYU for the Class of 2011? If you are and are in the area, write me back. With over 300 people once the foreign-trained dentists join in second year, I'd love to get to know some of kids in my class before school starts.

Also, if you are moving to the area and have any questions, feel free to contact me. I've been living in Manhattan since college.

Cheers,
Alice

Hi,

I m Valentine. I am in the 2011 class. Just got off the wait list yesterday. That congrads on your acceptance :)
Do you happen to know where to find a good/cheaper place to live in manhattan? I have a friend that lives on 96 and Broadway, and he offered some advice; but I can use any lead I can. I am from Chicago, and only have been to NY for short visits. So I don't really know the city that well. I heard that you need a broker to find reasonable appts. Do you happen to know if anyone needs a roommate for this coming year. I am clean and organized.
Please let me know, possibly via email : [email protected]

Hope to meet you soon in class.

Again, Congrads and good luck :)

(under svally name at sdn)

I believe the schedule is on the NYU website. I get up at 5:30 everyday, so 8:00am will be a nice treat!

Awesome. Good luck with the follow up phone call. I'm sure it is an acceptance. Let us know how it works out and what you end up doing.

Hey, all of you that are looking for a place to stay. The best location is Queens, it is outside Manhattan but still NYC, so the prices a MUCH cheaper and the commute is not bad at all about 40 min on the subway (door to door) Probably even less. if u have any questions pm me anytime.

P.S. Ofcourse living in the City will be more comfortable but also extremely overpriced and overrated. If you're able to afford ~$2000 to pay for a tiny room with a roommate then go for it...

That's awesome. Glad to hear.

JB, are you going, or still hoping for Maryland?

I'm sending in my deposit, but i would be lieing if i said i wasn't holding out for maryland. nothing against NYU whatsoever, i think its a great school.. but maryland would be cheaper and they really won be over with their hospitatlity and facilities when i was there.

needless to say, im still stoked about NYU. jb!:)

I'm still holding out for Tufts (I'm on Penn and Temple wait list too), but I loved NYU and have no complaints about going there either :)
