Received and completed mine beginning of July. Idk how it works, I've heard mixed that its given to everyone or its selected specifically based on just meeting their stats.

It is selective at some schools, but it’s sent to everyone who applies to NYU

I was just sent the link for the Kira assessment, and the email explained that I have to complete my interview within 2 weeks of receiving the invitation. I have never completed the Kira assessment before, and I am a little confused. Once I click the link will it allow me to register a specific time and date for the interview or does it make you take the interview immediately once you click check-in? I just want to be prepared.

You click the link, it will go through some information, and you can do practice examples on the Kira itself. You'll be able to complete the assessment when you are ready. There are no specific appointment times.

Absolutely Np

The interview could not have gone better for me, by the end of it she(my interviewer+ current professor for epidemiology) was like I’m all out of questions and she was like “well what’s your favorite movie I guess”. We actually went like 20 minutes over the time just because she liked me so much. And she couldn’t stop repeating how she hoped to see me. Lol now fast forward to today and I can guarantee you she has no memory of me and has no idea who I am.

Absolutely. First right out the gate she asked me what I thought about the legalization of marijuana. Then she point blank said “I know everyone puts that they have like 1000 hours of shadowing. I wanna know what you LEARNED from shadowing”. Finally she tried to pull a quick one on me and tried to get me to admit to cheating during the pandemic. She was basically asking nonchalantly whether or not during the pandemic “I used outside resources to help me during the test”. Thank God I realized what she was trying to do and point blank told her no and that I don’t cheat.

Now as far as do I like the program lol… I’ll say it has its ups and downs. Ultimately the problem is the price tag. Genuinely the best way to put it is your paying private school type tuition to receive a public school type of education if you know what I mean. If you want I can go into more details, I just don’t want to write too much if you just want a surface level answer

I was invited to candidate day in January, had candidate day in February, waitlisted in March, and rejected in June. I improved my application and applied much earlier this cycle and still nothing. It’s very upsetting but trying to stay positive!
