What do any people who have interviewed have to say on the subject? Current students? Thanks. 🙂

Lots of preclinical and clinics experience. Huge patient pool. Hand skills very soon, like fall of first year with drilling(unlike UB). Didn't get the impression that there was a lot of local out reaches.

Expensive though. Strong pass rate. huge class size and hard not to feel lost.

You don't get to pratice sim lab till spring of year two at NYU, at least that's what they don't me during the interview.

When does UB start?

That doesn't sound right, especially since they don't take their boards until end of second year. I remember some NYU student on youtube was doing amalgam during the fall of the first year. I'm talking about pre-clinical lab.

At UB, we do waxing for Fall year 1. Direct composite in Spring of Year 1. Then indirect for "early fall" year 2(may to june, two times a week for 4-5 hours each day). Then in fall of D2, amalgam direct, indirect, removable.

I must be mixed up between real patient versus sim then. Yeah they all take boards at the same time late August.
