NYU Dental HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It depends on how many you failed. They look at it case-by-case. I've heard people in the past being able to remediate up to 3 courses - and that's only if you didn't fail anything first year. They will kick you out or ask you to repeat the year if deemed appropriate. Go talk to Dean Palatta.

to answer your question, yes they kick people out, but they also allow people to remediate, i think mack is right 3 courses but it also depends on what you fail. if its one of those pass/fail courses its not a big deal but if its systems path/pharma and cr1,2 and all the major stuff u take in 2nd yr then they will meet with you and figure something out.

is the school pretty good about finding a way to help students not get kicked out

they do help, every student is an investment, failing those major courses means you will have a hard time passing boards pt 1 so it makes sense to kick people out who cant make it.
