Why did you have to retake it so many times? Something distracting you?

@Hyunin1210 . im taking a class for the second time so im just asking
Get the A the second time. I am sure you can still make it but do not take the chance. Dental schools will question your ability to make it through their program if you retake a bio course that many times.
@Hyunin1210 thing is im screwing up the second time around due to some personal ****.
Well it may be something you can write about in your personal statement. Idk what you are dealing with right now, but I say go all out and pass no matter what. A C will not kill you. I got in with a few Cs (in writing courses though) and a W.
This is a pretty specific situation. You'll probably just have to apply and see what happens.
you had to retake 3 times?
unless you obliterate the DAT and do a masters and rock that you might have a shot at getting in. staying in is a different story
not trying to be mean, just being realistic. i know people that it has happened to. they got into NYU because they rocked the DAT, especially after taking a certain DAT prep course which gears you towards acing it. but then once dental school starts and they're in a semester deep, things start going downhill fast.

I remember seeing something similar to this.. Was it a different person? Someone got W, then an F on the second try...
One grade really won't kill your chance completely, but it might come up in the interview if you had to take it three times.
I failed my bio 1 my first semster from not attending, then retook it in the summer. Didn't take it too seriously, got a C.
This came up in about 2 of my interviews.

it's general biology. if you can't handle it, it will likely work against you. i'm telling you i have seen this happen at NYUCD. our classes are huge but everyone knows about the people who fail out/have to repeat a year. if you can't handle the science courseload you are screwed. it just moves way too fast for some people
again not trying to be mean, it's a serious thing to consider when you have to spend >100k a year for your education.

My gosh I feel so bad for those people- can you imagine being kicked out of school with > $100K debt, with no viable way to service that debt and no way to discharge it in bankruptcy? *shudders*
Congrats!Double post: I'd like to revise my answer-yes.
