NYU deposit by credit card?

Has anyone paid their NYU deposit by credit card? Just wondering if that's allowed or if I have to send a check.

I would call NYU and ask if it can be done. Some schools don't allow tuition credit card payments, some schools do. NYU seems like a progressive school and one would think credit card payments would be allowed, but you'll just have to check.

its check or money order only. I think on the paper it says credit cards are not accepted, but the funny thing is they haven't cashed my check and its been like 25 days so far and they sent a letter that they received it, so iam not sure what they are waiting for heh.

It doesn't say no credit cards, it just says send your check or money order to ___. I want to pay by credit card for exactly that reason! I'm afraid they won't cash my check, or won't receive it and then I have no way of feeling official until it's cashed. With the credit card, it's an immediate done deal. They haven't been open for the past 2 weeks- I'll call on tuesday.

yah i'll do the same its crazy if jan 15 comes and they say you never sent anything in, then its a really bad year for me 🙁

only check or money order. This way they dont have to give the credit card companies a cut of the $$$

FYI (or I sppose F my I), I called and you can't put your deposit down by credit card because you don't have a student ID number yet. You can put subsequent tuition payments on credit card.

They said that you can FedEx or send the check certified mail if you want to track it.
