No, you cant. I called up and asked and they said no.. Your deposit does'nt need to get their by the deadline. It should just be postmarked by the date...

Whoa, I went to UCLA as an undergrad too, and I'm most likely going to NYU too. I wonder how many of us there are.

So when is the deposit due and how much is it? I just received e-mail notification of my acceptance earlier this week, but have not received the snail mail. Thanks.

i'm guessing there will be quite a few california kids, so a few ucla students would make sense. If you just got in, you might get a few weeks, not sure. mine was/is due may 1st.

It seems at my UMDNJ interview everyone was from cali... at my nyu interview, again same thing... Only, there was this kid from cali who kept talking and talking...... 😴

well i'm not quite sure myself but, everything that could possibly go wrong with my aadsas did go wrong so I feel it just contributed to some other unknown factors..... oh well.... I did like NYU very much when I visited it... so I'm pretty happy... 🙂

7(I think) of us Bruins started out in my year. Sign up for the NYC alumni organization, it's good times esp. during football/basketball season.

Overall I think 30% of the class are from California. Actually pretty much until specified otherwise, someone is from California or Florida. Just follow the sound of rainbow reefs.

Okay, so today (May 1, 2006) I just received my official acceptance letter as well as a letter stating that I need to forward my deposit of $2,500 by May 1, 2006. Seeing as how I can't send them the money by May 1, should I be worried?

I'll definitely call them asap tomorrow morning to talk to someone about this as well as send my payment, but just wondering if any of you could provide some insight on the matter before then.

Did you interview at NYU on April 10th? Cause that talking Cali "kid" might have been me 😀

I dont think you should worry too much. the admission office people are really nice and understanding. Just tell them that you received your letter today and they'll extend your deadline by 7-15 days I think...
