Hey everyone,

I wanted to start a separate thread and see if there is interest in generating conversation about NYU's MPH through their Global Institute of Public Health. Has anyone else applied? For those who have, is anyone strongly considering attending?

It's definitely my top choice but I've received a few offers that are very tempting as well...

I have also applied for NYU's MPH with a concentration in Community & International Health. I discovered this program through CEPH and their list of accredited universities. I believe this program is a hidden gem because NYC is so diverse and also harbors an abundance of international organizations/opportunities.

I'm definitely considering NYU for the nutrition concentration. I'm really just waiting to hear back on one other program, but it is definitely a top choice for me.

Is anyone planning on attending the Admitted Students Day on March 29th?

Got admitted for Community and International Health concentration, but i'm torn between NYU and UCLA. Any idea how housing works for graduate students at NYU?

has anyone applied to the Global Health Leadership program? I submitted my application on 2/1 but haven't heard anything back yet.

I have also been admitted to the NYU MPH program in Community and International Health. While I would love to live in New York and have all the opportunities that this program offers I am worried about the cost. I have also been admitted to the UC Davis MPH program and am a California resident which makes the program cheaper than NYU. Does anyone have any input about these two programs?

I would like to eventually end up in California and Davis has great connections with the CDPH and they require a 300hr. practicum which is part of the reason they are so appealing.... but I would rather live in NY than Davis. Any input would be appreciated!!

As far as housing at NYU, I have heard that the dorms are pretty gross but have not seen them myself. Obviously NY will be expensive but I think it is manageable if you live a little further from NYU.

I applied for global health leadership. They have offered me a spot. Accepted the offer today.🙂
