Are all first years at NYU guaranteed housing? I don't mind living in dorms, I'm just looking for something cheap.

I will be an M1 at NYU next year, and from all they have told us, you are guaranteed housingat least in the dorms. A lot of people talk abouthow terible they are, but realistically you are getting a room in the middle of Manhattan for 600/month, including all utilities/internet. Can't really beat that. Yeah there are shared bathrooms and kitchens, but that manageable to not be in debt like 6000 more for your first year. After that, you can enter the housing lottery to get into the apartments, which I want to say are somewhere around like 900-100a month (don't quote me on that, i can't find the info right now).
