I ran into an issue at a building uptown. Being a student I will have no income, and the building will not let me use loan money as income, thus requiring me to have a guarantor. Well, for my $993/month rent my guarantor would still need to prove 80x the monthly rent of the whole apt, which is $3300. I do not have that kind of guarantor. The roommates said that I could still lie with them off the lease but then I'd be losing all the amenities of the building and I'm not even sure of the legality of it.

Has anyone experienced this or have any knowledge on the subject?
