Hi all,

Just received an email yesterday for an interview at NYU (yup, they're still interviewing!). Any tips? I'd appreciate any help!

This is my second interview.. my first was at BU about a month ago, but I haven't heard anything 🙁

It is very laid back, much like the BU interview.

It is very laid back, much like the BU interview.

Try to be energetic and extremely interested in New York, but above all NYU. Know the specifics, and make them know the cost is worth it.

Even if it's laid back, you gotta nail the interview to get accepted.

I'm saying this because contrary to recent history, an out-of-state interview no longer statistically guarantees an acceptance.

DS admissions has gotten that competitive.

Not scaring you, just take it a bit more seriously.

dont be shy when its time for lunch! take one of everything its on the house! haha. if u do wind up going there your going to be paying 100k a year anyway might as well eat good! haha.😀

@Dmessina - that's hilarious! i'll take that into consideration LOL

thanks everyone for your suggestion, and @THINKOFMYFUTURE I definitely won't be taking this for granted!! I'm Canadian, and looking at stats, about 20 students are from Canada; since i have pretty much no shot in Canada, I'll be at my very best! Thanks for the heads up 🙂

Know everything about the school and be able to turn the historical disadvantages of the school into a positive light. Adding foreign trained dentists -> Additional people to learn real life application. Large class size -> more networking and learning opportunities. I think you get the drift. Show you have done your research. Last year one of my questions was do you know who is our dean?

Oh and tear that lunch up, it was awesome food!

why does everyone say NYU is 100K+, the tuition is around 65K, its the living that makes up the rest right? or are there additional hidden costs or something?
