When do they start calling for interview?

I have not found anyone talking about it.

Welcome to SDN... NYU will start sending out interview invites say end of dec/ beginning of jan.

Did not realize they interview that late. Read some prior year posts that they showed dates like in Oct.

Well i'm on the waitlist from last year , and thas't what all of us are hoping at least! we better get in this year or i'm gonna be pissed! for all of you on the waitlist, did u retake ure part 1 ? or how did u improve ure applications?

Started preparing about 2 months back. Flying down to NY on 12'th of Dec for part 1. Though I do hope I get to hear from them before I take the plunge, I know the chances are extremely slim.

Has anyone called up NYU this week to find out if they have started sending out interview calls? when i called up last week they told me that dec1 st week... their call letters are going to be sent out..

I called NYU today and they told me that they do not tell over the phone if call letters are being sent out ot not, she said that its a confidential process and that we have to just wait. I was wondering how did someone post saying that they called them and they replied that they will be sending the letters this week? they told me that they are not even going to say if they started mailing letters? that strange!!

Hey guys !
You guys been waitlisted from last year, could anyone of you share with me your stats (step 1, step2, toefl, gpa) I just want to have a whole picture if my stats are ok for NYU.
I've got Step 1 = 88, Step 2 = 75, Toefl = 96 (243 in old system), GPA = 3.09
Any inputs are appreciated.

I am a little confused by what you wrote. Are you planning to apply PRIOR to taking the boards? If you are not accepted this year(God forbid), you might have to wait till next year to apply again. So may be you could wait to get the result and then apply.

Just my 2 cents.

Well BDS-DMD, I just reactivated my application as I was in their waitlist. It was either that...or "Sorry. Don't reactivate. I am not interested right now"
So I DO know that they wouldn't reject me before Feb atleast. I am taking my part 1 again in 14 days from now. So I guess it's ok. [I hope so 8-D]
