I want to send a ty email/letter to my interviewer at NYU, but I'm not sure how to go about reaching him. When I asked him for a card, he said that he doesn't give them out and that any correspondence should be via the email address that they sent out invites through. I also don't know his last name (it was Richard, the guy at the front desk who was checking people in at the beginning of the day) Any suggestions on how to get in contact with him? Email with attn: Richard in the subject line? Thanks in advance!

i had the same guy as an interviewer. im having the same problem. i searched everywhere for his email but it cannot be found. he seemed like a nice guy and i doubt a thank you email would affect his decision

I'm not sure about the whole thank you e-mail/letter thing ... Is it expected to write thank you notes?

it is not going to make or break your chances (at least i hope not!)...but it is always a nice gesture. especially if the letter is handwritten and snail mailed. the interviewer will appreciate that you took the time to do so, and it shows that you are still thinking about the school/interview a few days later.

For the thank you email I sent I have not received a response but am not worried considering every interviewer is different. Mine was Dr. Mejia and am sure she's swamped with a ton of thank you emails. As long as she sends me an acceptance on Dec 1..all is well...
