I got an interview invite to NYU this morning.
 
me too and they asked if I could come next week!! I don't know if that's a good or bad thing but I'm going next Thursday! I wanted to have one interview in before my Buffalo interview on Oct 2nd so I'm pretty excited.
 
Did you get an email or get a mail for the interview???

NYU randomly has interview dates on Tuesdays, Thursday, and Mondays, but they have a few Fridays.. They wanted me to come next Thursday but I'm like yeah.. how about a Friday in October..
 
complete and submitted mid-June.
 
yea they called me yesterday as well. How many people are actually interviewing next week?

My AADSAS was sent in June but I just sent my application fee today to NYU? Do you guys think I am too late?

I sent my application fee to NYU the begining of July and they still haven't cashed it. Looks like you'll be waiting for quite a while now.
 
nvm, i just checked my statement and it was cashed today!
 
I'm going to be interviewing next Friday Sept 19, anyone else?
 
I'm interviewing on the 25th ... not the 19th. Does anyone else have their interview scheduled for that day?

I just realized they haven't even cashed mine yet! I did call last week and they said they had it, it just had to be processed 🙂 but I got an interview w/o them even cashing it yet!

Awesome! I don't know about the status of my money order (as in whether or not they've cashed it).

Or.... we can keep it the way it is and help each other be prepared for at least one of the two interviews!
 
Does anyone know if NYU make you fill out any sort of secondary application before the interview?? Like a question in writing?? Thanks

It will have to be the other way. I am going to USC the 18th then NYU the 25th. Buffalo October 2. I'll let you know how NYU goes through PM.

Does it look bad that I scheduled it for so far away (october 10th)? I wanted it to be on a Friday since I will have to take a flight all the way from Iowa, and my parents wanted to come. I could'nt do it next Friday because I have 2 tests. The Friday after wards was booked, so I made it the 10th.
 
guys, any suggestion on suit color/style for this season? haha
i'm thinking classic black suit with white shirt and whatever tie is the normal, but i never liked that. any thoughts?

I've always liked guys in gray suits w. white shirt and a blue-ish tie.
 
black is too formal for an interview.
Go with navy or charcoal and a non-white shirt to stand out. Im rockin a charcoal suit, with either a lilac shirt and purple/black/white tie or pink shirt/burgundy and pinkish tie combo

the 2 other guys at my case interview came wearing the exact same thing: black pinstripe suit, baby blue shirt, and patterned blue/black tie aha
 
For those of you who got interviews at NYU..first off congrats! I was wondering how long your application was under review once it was complete? Also, did you get an email once your application was complete?
 
they said it's still early!!

Keep on waiting, and u will hear a good news!! 🙂

I got an email saying it was complete and under review on sept 5th.. and the interview invite on sept 11th...

I dunno, My AADSAS and DATs were in for a while... it took them forever to get my check (seriously, they still haven't cashed it) and LOR... but eventually I guess they got it

I think they have a certain criteria for interview invites. If you have a certain GPA or above ,and a certain DAT or above, you automatically get an interview. I say this because I got my interview invite like a day after they received my new DAT score. Last year they were the first to reject me...

Hmm... my GPA is around your GPA, and my DAT is pretty much same as your DAT. So I hope you are right!

I submited my AADSAS and DAT scores on mid June, and sent my app fee on the end of July.

So far, they haven't cashed my check yet and didn't send me an email that my application is complete. I call them today, and they respond me that I have to wait till the end of this week.
 
So I was getting a little antsy about whether NYU had gotten all my stuff, specifically whether or not they got my recent DAT scores or my first scores. I've been meaning to call them for a few days, but the whole 3 hour time difference thing (as well as the whole weekend thing) kept getting in the way. So I finally sat down to call them and opened up my email so I could reread everything they've sent me so far before I called, and the first thing in my inbox was an interview invite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omgz so xctd!1!!

And for anyone who's curious, submitted ADSAAS June 3rd, retook DAT Aug 4 (had scores sent to them as my automatic 5), had a little mixup with the payment (forgot to send in the check even though I had it written out and the envelop addressed weeks ago😀), got an email Aug 13 saying everything completed. Interview invite sent to me literally 36 minutes ago!

Wait till the end of this week huh? I wonder if this means that they'll be handing out all first round interviews by the end of this week. I hope I can land an interview with them. I'm on the cusp of being desperate.

No need AT ALL to be desperate. I haven't schedules my interview yet, but I did call them to get a feel for what spots were still open, and they told me that they had the two days at the end of September still open, and the only day in October that was fully booked was the 3rd. So there are still probably a ton of early interview spots open.
 
how big is an early interview actually mean? the earlier the better chance of being accepted? anyone know any stats or hear anything about this from past years?

I just got the e-mail but there line has been busy all day, anyone know what sort of dates I can be expecting?
 
was anyone at todays interview? strange being in the same position a year ago. Time sure does fly
