I thought the certification after 2nd year sounded really cool - but can we actually offer our services with it before we have a DMD degree? I'm also thinking that people would rather go to an actual/trusted dentist instead of someone still in school. Have any of you NYU-ers actually put it to use? What do you think? Thanks!

You could only use invisalign on a patient in school, under the supervision of a dentist until you get your license. Once you are a licensed dentist, you can use it whenever appropriate.

Thats cool. I have a question. Can you use fammily members or friends as patients?

patients need to be reliable and need to have something to fix. i suspect that the invisaline graduation requirement is much lower than the other areas of dentistry - perio, restorative, fixed, removable, oral surg. don't fill your schedule doing things that don't help you finish your program.
