For NYU students, when do you guys suggest to purchase the dental loupe?
During second semester of first year?

Which company or which kind should I look for?
So should I order them before the first class? (Since it takes time to order and process and finally receive them)

I'd check out designs for vision. wait until the rep comes to school. I have 2 pairs of design for vision. Ive tried all the brands, and I like DFW the best.

Thanks! I was worried since I wear glasses as well (so in my case, it will take some time)

I purchased at end of 1st semester. Wait for the reps to come to the school. I recommend Q optics. Great for ppl with prescription glasses because it has a separate lens insert. So if your prescription changes you don't have to send loupes back...just order new lens inserts.

Design for Visions are really well made. Haven't had any issues so far. I went with the 3.5X Micro EF.

Attend Greater New York Dental Meeting to take a look at loupes, I personally liked DFV and Zeiss and I wend with Zeiss.
