Hi, would current resident/past resident mind sharing what the program is like? There is little information out there on the program!

I interviewed there and learned a lot about the program from the residents. It is very very busy. People seem happy there but they are working really hard. They see tons of patients a day -every 30 minutes. They have 12 hour shifts twice a week because they rotate to another clinic for a few hours. If you are looking to get faster you will probably get that there. Although I was told most of the day was doing periodic exams. They do an average amount of the big procedures - maybe 5 crowns, endos, etc. There is opportunity to place implants- 1 or 2. There are no specialists except for an oral surgeon who I heard is rough around the edges. There is an endo residency so it seems like they take a lot of the endo cases. The call is crazy because it is a level 1 trauma center. Knowing all of this I did like the program although I matched elsewhere. If you want a really busy program definitely give them a call and try but I think they are pretty selective about who they take.
