NYU or Stony Brook

If you had to pick between NYU and Stony Brook which would you choose and why?

I know Stony Brook is great but is it too small? Are the students there too mature (meaning having kids and families)? Is NYC worth going to NYU?

i think we would all choose stony brook... especially if you're an ny resident, i mean come on - stony is a fantastic school and a FRACTIONNNNN of the cost. and it's not SO far from NYC that you'd never be able to go.
