Hey, For those of you who have interviewed at NYU Med (or go there), what's the story with parking? I am planning on keeping my car parked in the garage overnight. How much will it cost?

There is an official NYU parking garage right across the street from the main entrance on 1st Ave. I haven't used that one, so I can't quote you prices, but I would imagine it will run you $30+ If you call the hospital they will probably give you rates or the garage phone number.

Eek... overnight parking could be expensive. If you park in the NYU garage, can the admissions office validate your parking stub so that there will be no charge? That's what they did at Tufts. It might be a good idea to call and find out.
Otherwise, you could try driving around for a while the night before to find a spot in the street... where you wouldn't have to move it in the morning. Even if you have to park further away, taking a cab would still be MUCH cheaper than spending $30 on the garage. 😎

Is the interview at the med center? I'm just curious because I'm an undergrad and there are some "relatively" cheap overnight parking places around 14th street (consequently where my dorm is). I'm not sure, I'm a subway/train person myself.
