Can anyone at NYU explain what happened to the "PMV" system they used in the clinics?

It changed to CEE (clincal education experiences) points last summer. Same thing, just a smaller scale and no $ sign in front of your number.

So, were the requirements reduced? Was there a lot of push back about the amount of money students were supposed to generate? Did the image of working students like mules and being money hungry finally get to NYU?

Actually, requirements were increased with the switch  Supposedly the school actually loses money with the undergrad clinics and makes it up with the post-grad ones, but who knows. I don't think the requirements in place are that unrealistic of a goal, but not everyone gets the same luck with patients they get, and I think a little more leniency would be nice.

me thinks you are considering changing professions 😉

haha 👍 kinda what i've been thinking all along. very strange that a "happy" OD chap would be sitting on dental forums all day.
