On the NYU invite e-mail, it says that they only interview from Sept 12- Dec 16; according to the website they dole out acceptances on Jan 15th. Does this indicate rolling admissions? I've heard rumors that NYU has been rolling in the past, but this one day release party seems to negate such stories. Anyone know the truth? Also, does this short three month window of interview dates imply that NYU somehow limits the number of interviews, giving the fortunate few an increased chance at acceptance, or is just wishful thinking on the part of me.

Additionally, a kind soul providing NYU applied/interviewed/accepted data from the latest MSAR would be greatly appreciated by many.

I don't have the MSAR, but I do have 2003 US News Stats:

Applied/Interviewed/Accepted/Enrolled
3178/846/943/160

And no, I have no idea how they "require an interview for admission" and accept more people than they interview.

Take another look at those US News stats and tell me if you see something wrong.

They were not part of amcas in 2003 and they do not screen anymore. I am sure now there number applied has doubled.

These numbers illustrate us news rankings brilliant top notch investigations 😱

Hence my comment "And no, I have no idea how they "require an interview for admission" and accept more people than they interview."

US News often has errors in the stats they report ... mixing up numbers sometimes, deleting them at other times.
