I was interviewed and now waiting.

No.. just had an interview a few days ago.
now just so anxious.. i had a fine interview but stats arent that good. coz the interviewer said that the committee looks at whole app again to decide. also said it might take 1-2 wks to hear something back..
there are not many seats left at this point.

are you on wait list? or accepted?

Stats:BS: Biomedical Engineering 3.25 21/21/18

I just called admissions for my app. status since the interview.

She said she sent out a letter yesterday and expect to receive it sometime next wk.

In my guess, it's either rejection or waitlisted b/c most of ppl I know got a call from Dr. Mejia for the acceptance.
Right...?

nope. they won't tell your status over the phone (even the acceptance). people get calls from dr. mejia if they get off the waitlist. for your case, it's just like the others who have waited to hear back post-interview. if it's a big envelope, it'll be acceptance. small envelope will be waitlist.. i don't think they rejected any after the interview? keep your hopes up! 🙂

I actually think you have a great chance since NYU wait list moves quite fast.
If I were you, I would write an interest letter for NYU, tell them why you want to go there and ...

Then just sit back and follow up with them.

20 is a respectable DAT score. what is your GPA?
