Does anyone have any idea about NYU summer research program? What are we going to research and is it graded? How much is the stipend?

did you apply yet? if not, i suggest you do it soon, we're supposed to find out within the next couple of weeks if we get in. it's not graded, and there are a bunch of studies from a range of different genres to work on that we do with other students and it's faculty run... we were supposed to say what area we were interested in in the personal statement. and it's a $4000 stipend for the 8 weeks to cover rent/food. i'm crossing my fingers because i'd really like to get involved

Yes.. it would be 5G based on what I've heard.
I am not sure that all of us are getting the stipend, though. The dead line for the application is Mar 10th, so if you are interested, then.. hurry up!😀

where do you guys keep hearing $5000 from? just curious, because i emailed with Dr. Russell a few times, and she told me 4. not that i'd complain about the extra thousand or anything. she also told me that everyone accepted to the program would get the stipend.

kinda dumb q, but worth a shot---to be accepeted i assume you would have to be attending their dental school in the fall right??

Yes, you have to be attending the dental school for the paid summer research program.
Not sure how much the stipend is... but its not graded. You basically get set up with a mentor in the school and do research for them for (I believe) month and a half. So you'll still have a summer after 🙂
The only other thing you do is present it to your peers and in the end present your findings/lab findings at the research fair to other professors/students. It's a cool way to meet other students, your professors, researchers, and get a "sneak peek" at the school. Plus you get paid 😀
