I have been accepted to NYU and interviewed at VCU (still waiting to hear back - hopefully I get accepted). I am still waiting on a couple more schools as well. Which program would you attend and why? I really enjoyed both interview experiences though want to attend the best school for my future. I am open to specializing but definitely not sure yet. I do not want to struggle with getting patients (cancelation/scheduling) but I am sure you have to deal with this no matter what at some extent. I am sure I could be happy at both place. I love nyc city life and loved the people in Richmond (very nice people).

From west coast - OOS for both schools

Any advice would help! Thanks!

I have the same problem. I can't decide between the two!! Getting patients not a problem at both schools cause NYU has large patient pool and at VCU students said that they don't look for patients, appointments already set for them. I enjoyed both schools and still waiting to hear back from VCU as well.
I'd love to hear more from people to help us decide..

Didn't apply to NYU but I really enjoyed VCU when I went. It's probably a lot cheaper than NYU with a smaller class size. However, the city of Richmond isn't as big. It's not rural by any means though. I'd pick VCU

VCU sounds like it would be a much better school. At NYU you would be paying a lot more and would just be a number.

I would say NYU so that you wouldn't be competing for a seat with me at VCU! 😉

Half of the class specializes and research opportunities abound. If I could pick out of the two, VCU would be it!
