Hello,
Everyone,

I am so fortunate to get into both great dental schools- NYU and Stony Brook. However, it is so hard to make the decision right now. Do you guys have any advice, please?
Thank you soooooo much~~

I mean, Stonybrook is MUCH cheaper. But NYU has way more patients and a stronger clinical experience. So depends on what's important to you.

Stony. If you feel u r inadequate to practice after you graduate, you can take CEs or do GPR or AEGD. Which either options will be cheaper.

NYUCD is a very poor choice. Think of Stony Brook as a private dental practice where the dentists know your name and value your business. On the other hand, NYUCD is comparable to a high volume medicaid office with revolving door dentists who are constantly threatened by management to produce big numbers or else lose their jobs.

Which type of business would you feel comfortable going to?

Are you a NYU student ?

Go to stonybrook and thank yourself in a few years. Many wouldn't understand bc everyone just thinks about money when you're in our position, but I just made the same decision to go to stonybrook which was really difficult.

Dentist and nyu alum here. You getting into stony brook is a GIFT. If you want to hang out in nyc so bad, go borrow some money and go all out.

Going to a more expensive school will lead to a longer/harder road to practice ownership and more debt.

Don't say I didn't warn you ...

Jesus freakin' Christ. Thank goodness there are people on this website who know what's up.
I bet the ******* OP will still choose NYUCD, despite the repeated warnings from guys who have been there.

If you can't decide just reapply and go to the new one they will be opening in NY: Touro Dental School!!
