Hey Guys...

Anyone know how the NYU wait list works? I've been accepted at Temple, but wait-listed at NYU with some other interviews scheduled for later this month. Do they take people off their wait list in the 2nd round of acceptances in January or am I looking at waiting to hear from them until the summer?

i havent heard anything either 🙁

I didnt either! Hope we hear from them soon!!!

i got in off the waiting list in august. 5 days before school started. they told me the reason i got accepted is because i "stayed active". i retook my dats and got more letters sent. so STAY ACTIVE and good luck. it happened to me so it can happen to you.

good luck

What does Staying active mean?

im not sure being waitlisted means that nyu's class is full. theres no way they are full by now since they are still waiting to hear back from many people who have to send deposits (and probably won't since they got accepted elsewhere)

Yeah I'm pretty sure there's now way the class is full either. What I've heard is that anyone not accepted right after their interview is placed on the wait list, even though that means you could be taken off of it as early as the second round of acceptances. I'm doubting whether thats true or not, but I figured I'd see anyone here knew...
