NYU Waitlists/Rejections

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Nothing here. When do people start moving off the waitlist?

Mid-May to early June based on previous years and NYU adcomm info

Are you guys doing anything to increase your chances? If so, what? I feel like after writing a letter of strong interest, there's nothing else left to do, except keep repeating yourself (i'm working, so i have no updates to send). Any ideas?

Yeah I was wondering this too. Does it make any sense to make calls to the office? Has anyone tried this yet?

I sent in an extra LOR. Probably wont do much, but figured it was worth a shot.

I would also like to start writing letters, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm also waitlisted at Mt. Sinai, so I should probably focus on one school and not write letters to both, right?

Oh, the waiting... :scared:

Well, its good to hear that we are all still waiiting...I hope to hear soon.

i was just wondering which one you would pick. NYU or AECOM. I got into AECOm with a scholarship offer of about 18000 a year excluding financial aid but got waitlisted at NYU. I have not written any letters of interests but was wondering what you guys thought. WOuld you pick AECOm over NYu or the other way. Thanks guys.

I just got off the waitlist for NYU, and I'll be picking it over AECOM. Did you decide which school you are going to?

I got into both schools (have no financial news) and I'm definitely picking NYU. AECOM didn't make much of an impression on me. Even if I had your scholarship, I'm pretty certain I'd go with NYU. For the record, I'm also picking NYU over Tufts and Downstate. Good luck
