I'm trying to choose a lender for Grad Plus loan but there's just too many lenders to choose from..Which lender do you think is the best? 😕
Which kind of loans are guys/gals getting a fixed loan rate or variable (currently lower)? How many loans are you getting beside the federal stafford loans?
OP I am was think about the citibank as a lender. I think for the Grad Plus the interest is fixed 8.50% so you really only have to look at the loan fees, citibank is 0% with excellent credit. Also the terms of the loan like how long you have to repay it, the longer the better just in case.
good luck.
I'm getting stafford sub&unsub and grad plus. i prefer fixed rate because variable rate really depends on your credit/your co-signer's credit-from my understanding it can be much lower than 8.5% but it can also go over 8.5%..please correct me if i'm wrong.
I'm leaning toward nellie mae and citibank since they're NYU's preffered lenders but i found out that citibank charges origination fee when nellie mae has no fees...
I'm getting stafford sub&unsub and grad plus.
i was wondering if anyone filled out the online application for sub and unsub stafford loans and their grad plus on www.hesc.com yet. i think we have to decide which lender we want to borrow from before accepting the sub/unsub stafford loans. i tried to do the stafford sub and unsub first but hesc.com didn't let me continue.
i also think we are suppose to wait for info from hesc.com but i just wanted to try early.
Nothing from HESC yet. The "Award Letter" - if that's what you want to call it - siad we should have received something by May 15? At least that's what I wrote on my calendar.
