I'm just wondering which is more heavily weighted: academic average vs. total science. My TS score was good but my AA was kind of low.

I called SCCO the other day and they mentioned that the TS score is weighted strongly (my TS score is higher than my AA), but you have to remember that your OAT scores can be reflected on your GPA, i.e. if you did poorly in the o-chem section, you should have good grades in your undergrad o-chem classes.

Thanks for the info Alferec!
I am applying to SCCO too so that is good to know. QR was my lowest section (score 280) but I have good grades in math so I guess it should be ok. Hey, I think I posted on one of your threads. I think we have the same scores (350TS/330AA).
Good luck Alferec!

I think that's true of SUNY, too, since their fact sheet lists TS avg for entering classes, but not AA.

Good luck bruingirl! :luck:

ps. Their TS avg for 2008 was 336, overall gpa 3.16, pre-req gpa 3.08

Hey bruingirl yeah our scores are really similar (AA=330, TS=350, QR=270). How funny!

BTW when I called Dawn Bunch (she's with the admissions office in SCCO), she said that my score (which is pretty much yours too!) would be competitive, so I hope that's more good news for you!

Thanks P.dot and Alferec for your support!!
