Hello! I am scheduled to take my OAT in a month and have been using the big kaplan book and chad's videos to study for gen chem and physics. For those who have taken the exam, how did you feel about these sources and their quizzes /exams compared to the real exam? Also was gen chem mostly conceptual? how was each section?

Also, for orgo should i memorize the reactions from the kaplan book or actually know their mechanisms as well? i feel like i don't have time to learn every rxn 🙁

I also used the Kaplan book to prepare for the exam that I took on the 3rd of this month. There is a lot of material to go through but if you are able to be diligent with your studies it pays off I believe. I used their "lessons on demand" resource videos. They seem very helpful as they offer tips in the video in the way of mnemonics and useful shorthand calculations. You can conveniently skip the parts that you are strong on. It may not be the same for you but I consistently scored lower on their diagnostic exams. I scored almost 30-40 points higher on my actual exam. Subsequently I feel comfortable saying that if you do well on Kaplans material you will do at minimum as well if not drastically better on the real thing.

Destroyer was the best for physics/QR/and biology in my opinion, Achiever close to Gchem and almost identical to what I saw on QR, Kaplan is the best for Reading (I think). Achiever was pretty helpful in simulating what you will see on test day (pretty much identical). Honestly.. I found the Cliffs AP Biology book useful as well as my old textbooks. My section scores increased anywhere from 20-50 points in each section and my aa/ts about 30 points using these my second time around. I used Kaplan and Chads solely the first time around and didn't care for either. Personal preference in finding what works for you.
