Hello everyone!

I am going to be taking my OAT over the summer but I'm not sure what dates the exam is available, do you guys happen to know where I can find the dates?

Hey, so the exam is usually available throughout the whole year, with some exceptions of course. But to find a specific date, not sure where you are in the process but basically you need to apply to take the OAT and then with the ID # you get, you have to pay the fee and I believe only then will they allow you to pick & see what dates are available. I know, it's kind of annoying but as long as you know around what date you want to take it - it should be available!

You can do it without paying first!! to check go tot he prometric website and click "locate a test centre" then choose the OAT exam and which city... when you choose the city a bunch of test centres will pop up and the option to view "availability" will be next to each of them and it'll show you a calendar with available dates!

Thank you so much! I was trying to figure out a way of finding the dates without paying! Do you know if there's a deadline as to when I have to apply or would I be able to apply like within a month in advance?

Hey! i think you have to register at least 3 to four weeks in advance, they just want to make sure you actually take the time to prepare. And plus, seats fill up sometimes so if you know the rough time you want to write it I suggest you register for your seat ahead of time because if you wait too long there might not be any seats left and you'll have to push up your date which may be an inconvenience if you're looking at deadlines and rewriting timelines. Does anyone what is the best book to use. So far I think most people are saying they have used the Kaplan OAT prep. I also wanted to ask if someone has used the 2018-2019 Kaplan OAT book. Somehow the 2018-2019 book is cheaper than the 2017-2018 book on amazon, does anyone have any idea why this may be so?
