Hello,
I am having a hard time studying for physics.
I have studied from kaplan to chad's videos. And I still feel like i'm not strong on the problems. I am at the point of giving up😕
Does anyone have a good review for physics? or any suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's ok to get frustrated but don't give up. I understand your pain. Even though you may feel your not getting better, just keep pushing and practicing. Nobody said the OAT was going to be easy so just try to stay positive and find ways to stay motivated. I was in the same boat as you when I was applying but just practice, practice, practice. Do you know any teachers that can help you?

How long have you been studying for the physics questions? Have you taken physics yet in college? and how was that for you?

I just graduated from undergrad in May so I can find tutors at my university. I took physics 1 and 2 as well and did well but I completely forgot many concepts right after I finished the course.
Well this is my second time studying for the OATs, i'm retaking them since I scored poorly the last time I took it in Feb. Its been a month now, I have been studying for physics only. I feel like I might be taking too long just focusing on physics, but its my weakest subject so I figured I would study for it first.
What study habits do you recommend? And how did you split your studying for each subject?

Thanks for you reply 🙂

All I did was chads and I did his quizzes until I basically memorized how to do every problem and I got a 290 on physics (57th percentile)

Princeton Review Physics. I used this, Kaplan and OAT Achiever and scored 370 (97th percentile). Princeton Review has the best explanations and practice problems, and they're more difficult than the real thing.

I agree, Princeton Review was great. The practice problems at the end of the book and in the tests they provide (they direct you to a website for the practice tests) are a little harder than the actual Physics section on the OAT. I used similar materials to achieve a 390 on the physics section.

I would say that the most important thing is to do a lot of practice problems. After each practice test I took I would go back and work out every problem again to make sure I fully understood it.

I used Kaplan to study for Physics and found it harder than what was on the actual test. I too got really frustrated at times with Kaplan because of the difficulty but I also liked it because it meant that when I got to the test, I was prepared beyond the level of most of the questions.

Stick it out and keep powering through. It will probably be frustrating but in the end it will help. I also tried to get my hands on as many physics practice sets/sample exams I could. That helped me get a feel for the timing so I didn't spend too much time on a problem I probably wasn't going to get anyway. It also gave me a fairly accurate representation of the level of difficulty.
