Hey guys, i just took the OAT today, and i felt it's pretty good.
i got:
QR 380
RC 320
Bio 380
GChem 340
Orgo 400
PHY 390
TT 390
AA 370
I was very happy with my score, though i wasn't totally expected it.
For Bio, there are many cell biology, so be aware of it, there aren't that many physiology and immunology, most of them are general.
For Chem, they are about the same level compare with my preparation materials. Not that much calculations, most of topics are covered.
For Orgo, there are some multi-step reactions, so know them well, there are some questions about ether. And know well on boiling points, alpha hydrogen acidity, and benzens.
For PHY, yeah, half of the questions are kinetmatics, energy, and forces. But those questions are pretty straight, only one step, very easy!!! practice the sample test provided by opted.org, there are about the same level.
For QR, there are many inequalities, i was ok with it. and there types of question aren't very hard, be aware of trigonometry, and word problems, some are tricky.
For RC, when i finish my last question, only 1 second left. Well, i read little bit slow and sometimes are struggling with vocabularies. But i never expect that i would get over 320, because i always got 250 on my sample tests.
I took Kaplan course over the summer, and it's big book really helped. I also bought the TopScore practice test: it was ok, everyone could use it and practice it on expect for physics. TopScore's physics have too much AC circuits and modern physics.
And i also use the examcracker MCAT audio osmosis, i strongly recommend you guys to get it. many questions on my test were covered in there.
So, hope my experience would help everyone who is going to take it.
By the way, i am applying for SUNY for early decision, and NECO and the one in Penn state for back up. my gpa is 3.66. i did some shadowing during the summer and wrote a reaction paper to SUNY. I started the community service this summer at a hospital. So, do you think that i could get in SUNY, i heard someone who got 360 on the OAT, and been rejected by SUNY.
