The OB/Gyn that I rotated with was 2 1/2 years out of residency and was in a 4 OB doc group practice. She worked 8-6 Mon & Wed, 8-1:30 Tues, Thurs & Fri. One weekday per week and one weekend per month on-call. I thought it was pretty sweet. The calls were busy, but the schedule makes that bearable. She's married and has 2 toddlers that actually know who she is! Her schedule may be an anomaly in the OB world, but it really changed my opinion of the field!
