OBGYN Away rotations

I will be applying for OBGYN and am currently applying to away rotations, if I want to do 3 aways how many should I be applying to? I know they are competitive to get, so I don't want to under apply and end up with none, but I don't want to apply to too many either.

4-5 should do it. I didn’t get turned away from any and I applied in early March. I did 2 aways and applied to 4. The timing is what you have to mess with, depending on school structure, etc.

I agree with the above of applying to 4-5. Maybe 6 depending on where you’re applying.
