I'm not a girl, btw. There's a premed girl who is really really smart (the smartest girl I've ever seen in real life). We're in some classes and club together and we even had a chance to talk with each other during an icebreaker as part of a club. But whenever we see each other in class, hallway, or campus, she acts as if he doesn't know me. She is completely indifferent of me. She never says "Hi" to me unless I do first. Once, I approached and sat beside her in a lecture. But we never talked to each other. She also never comes and sits beside me in class. There are two people She is very close to, always sitting together side by side in every class and talking with each other very frequently. I wonder what's holding their friendship together. All of her friends are as smart as she is and likeminded, and I really want to have a smart friend like her, but I don't know how. I'm actually scared to talk with her because I think I don't match up to her level in terms of intellect and maturity and I'm not that fond of taking the initiative to try to be her friend (it hurts my ego and it looks like she isn't interested in having me as her friend in the first place). She also has a great, great look, just like a model (tall, looks like Barabara Walters, you name it.). Today, I was even walking by a prof's office and I overheard two profs in there talking about how she is really brilliant. From overhearing their conversation, I even learned that she got straight A's in high school and again nothing less than an A in college so far (she is a junior now). It seems like she is also the main attention of profs. How I wish I were the main topic of profs' conversation. I'm just really obsessed with her .

Sorry if my post is unorganized, but does this affect my medical school application chances?

i just saw the name barbara walters and nothing else and that alone made me smile a bit

and barbara walters? of all the attractive women in the world, you choose barbara walters? hugh grant i can at least still see why some girls like him.

Yeah, there's this girl I'm obsessed with too. I like to watch her go to sleep, I try to watch every night. I know when she gets up, when she eats, when she goes to the bathroom...

oh wait, it's my girlfriend...

So...sexy......

overlooking the obvious sarcasm, i think barbs is pretty cute/attractive for her age. i like her

BTW, for those missing context, this thread is a parody of the earlier thread 'Obsessed with a guy'. Aside from the last question (kudos chemdude), it's basically a copy actually.

This is the definition of 'trophy premed girlfriend.'

You should have started with "I'm not a boy, btw." if you wanted to keep to homosexual nature of the original thread.

Wow, I hope this is a joke.

- But if it isn't, then forget about her man. If she acts doesn't she doesn't know you and is completely
indifferent to you then thats probably not a good sign.

Women are cool.

Dude. She's just not that in to you.

Focus on one (often unattainable woman) = bad

Enjoying women = excellence

profs probably just think she is hot, she probably isn't that smart. The better looking people are the more other assign traits to them they actually don't have.

Bill Simmons wrote a good article on this for athletes. (ESPN), when an athlete is kind of funny, people say they are hilarious. This is only because they are athletes and they are admired. He calls it athlete funny.

This woman is what we call, "good looking" smart. She probably isn't brilliant like Albert Eienstein was brilliant or other geniuses. She is just smart for a good looking chick.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that a thread discussing the merits of Barbara Walters' sexiness doesn't belong in Pre-Allo.
