Does anyone know if there is any CD, or visual study aids to help studying occlusion?

We use the Okeson book "Management of TMJ and Occlusion". And that book is written in a funny way that it takes me like 3 hrs to go through one chapter and then feel like understanding nothing.

If anyone could help me, I would appreciate very much.

Thanks😀 😀

Tink,

We also have that book you mentioned, but I've found Occlusion (4th ed. by Ash) to be much better--it's one of the three texts we have for morphology and occlusion.

Sorry that I don't know of any CDs or visuals, although undoubtedly there are some out there.

Dr Dawsons DVDs are a decent visual aid. Although they are quite lengthy at times, they do explain most concepts of occlusion quite well. He cleared up centric positions for me like a charm!

We have Wheeler's Dental Anatomy, Physiology, and Occlusion on CD-ROM. It makes it really easy to understand since it shows you in 3-D and rotates everything. The contact points get highlighted as the narriation goes on, etc...

super you are truely strange

A vote for Wheeler's here too.. That's the one my school uses.

My school uses Okeson's more for TMD than for 1st-year occlusion or anatomy... Go figure.

Are you guys referring to the CD-Rom that comes with the Wheeler's 8 ED ? Or there's another CD-ROM ?

We also have the Wheeler book, but it's basically just for tooth morphology. The DVD helps a little bit, but it's not as details as the Okeson book going on and on about occlusion.

I spend so much time reading that book, and it's only a one unit class. I do not think it's worth it. And the point is, picture in the books are so poorly label. Sometimes, it takes me 20min to figure out a drawing.

c132, what's the Dawson DVD, and where can I get it?
Thanks for all the answers, you guys are great.
