Hey Everyone,

I'm taking my PCAT in Jan and would like to know if I should spend a lot of time studying for Ochem 2 vs Just spending most of my time on O chem 1 and skimming the material for ochem 2. Thank you in advance. 🙂

Hey Everyone,

There was 1 question EAS (electrophilic aromatic substition) and it was easy. Also, the "biochem" is actually the end of ochem2 so you can count that as well.

I don't know what o chem 2 is cuz I'm on quarter system, but I never had any ridiculous reaction problems when I took the test. They were pretty basic and I assume they came from o chem 1(?)...

The only difficult reaction problem I had was actually a biochemistry problem that involved one of the major enzymes in the TCA cycle, but that's it.

i wrote it yesterday and they barely covered ochem1, they were very basic questions. Basic questions about elimination, substitution, oxidations, etc. I'm only halfway through ochem 1 in school but i ended up getting a 95 in the chem portion of the pcat.

Thank, you guys. Really help me on narrowing down what to study.

Congrats on your score, Jess. You brainiac 😛
