This question was weird... i got the correct answer with process of elimination.

I would have thought the end product would have been simple a benzene ring attached to Br...

My question is why is the Cl2/H2O able to react with the ring. I thought a lewis acid catalyst was needed.

Is H20 considered a lewis acid catalyst?
