OChem section includes q's about carbohydrates?

I'm going through kaplan flashcards and I see many cards about carbohydrate structures and properties, along with amino acid structure and properties. Do we need to know any of this for the DAT? I've never heard of anyone commenting on a question they had about this...

You won't have to know the exact structures of specific carbohydrates or amino acids. Just know their general structure, their components, and how their monomeric units are linked together.
