Ochem Study Advice please

Hi. I am taking the DAT in three weeks. I am still pretty weak on the Organic Chem section. I have been making 13 on the Topscore tests. This is the only section I am really worried about. Any study advice for the short time I have left? Is it enough to just try and memorize all the reactions?

And advice would be greatly appreciated.

three things will boost you to at least a 17.

1. kaplan flashcards
2. kaplan subject tests
3. 1001 questions in orgo chem (exam krackers)

memorizing reactions won't give you a big jump, but understanding the basics (stereochem, acidity, polarity, etc.) will get you to an average score.

If you're short on time, focus on SN1/SN2, E1/E2, some carbonyl chemistry... go with the main topics first.

I agree with sunnymeliss. Also, focus on stability, acidic & basicity, carbocations, radicals, and carbonyls!!!
