guys i always get this mixed up, can clarify this for me

when we talk about SN1 and E1 the rate is only dependent on the Substrate or halide or they mean the same. so confused here

and also what is it for sn2 and E2?

SN2and SN2 is halide and NU dependent and for the SN1 and E1 its only halide dependent- did that help?

they do kinda mean the same but not really....a halide is a substrate (the halogens) but u could have other substrates as well
