So i am deciding between which two teachers to take for O-chemistry. One is supposed to be a pretty good teacher but gives out less A's/B's. The other is a terrible professor but has a wicked curve which results in a surprisingly large amount of students getting A's/B's.
Should i be more concerned with getting the grade letter for admission into dental school, or with absorbing and learning as much material as I can. Both profs teach 333/334 so i can continue o-chem with the same one. Are alot of O-chem concepts even used in /upper division bios/dental school?

I would go with the one that gives u the best grade. But u r gonna need to know ur **** if u take biochem and OChem is on the DAT. depends on if u can study on ur own or if u need someone forcing u to study.

should i care about actually learning the material further and getting a worse grade, or learn the material less well and get a better grade? 🙄 certainly, it doesn't have to be one or the other. get the better professor, learn the material, and get the best grade you can.

From my experience with O. Chem the course is largely based on memorizing reactions so it's not too difficult as long as you know the reactions that the teacher emphasizes.

Go with the teacher that gets you the best grade. Make sure you learn the basics in the class and use a kaplan review or something like that to go over the stuff you may not have picked up on to well before you take the DAT. You will be fine.

take the easy teacher and buy destroyer for the DAT. use the section on organic chemistry..go over it until you know it really well and that is what will get you a solid OCHEM score.

i used destroyer and did really well on the ochem section. had i just relied on what i learned from ochem class, it would have been an absolute disaster!!!

the study guides are what prep you for the DAT, NOT classes. i cannot stress this enough
