Hey everyone

I just got my letter letting me know that OCPM has everything they need for me to begin school. They also mentioned orientation is on August 23rd 2007. I was wondering if everyone else (who is attending) got that letter and also when do you plan on moving down there? I was thinking maybe August 20ish...?

I received the letter as well...I live near the school already so I'm good on that one. I would recommend more than 3 days prior to orientation so you are familiar with the area. Also, I read in one of the OCPM newsletters that there is a white coat ceremony sunday August 26th...is that for 1st year students??? I wouldn't think we would get that until after 2nd year...😕

im moving in July 21st, although I'll probably be splitting time living at my apartment and at my house since I don't live too far away. as far as i know the white coat ceremony is for 1st years. i know thats how optometry school works through a sibling.

the white coat ceremony is for us 1st years! How can we work in lab w/out them!!! haha.....I have been to the school a few times and will be going back and fourth a few times b/w now and then... I don't want to be there for more than 4-5 days with nothing at all to do..... If you guys want to get together or something we all maybe can before school starts

I am moving in august 10th.

The white coat ceremony is for first years.

There is a facebook group for our class where the idea of getting together before class has been brought up. I think there are a few people who are up for getting together - myself included.

I actually posted the get together message in Facebook...I'm from the area so when everybody gets here I can take you guys downtown (W6th, Shooter's or Lakewood) or we can arrange a party somewhere.
