thank god i chose the no score option...big test day is the january 😀

whats the point of choosing no score, they take ur highest. this option make no sense unless u never had bio or chem or think u made a 10 or 20 %. if u choose no score in oct i dont see y u would do any better 2 months later bc u wont know what to work on. when i took it some1 left half way through the exam which was idiotic bc they said they just wanted to see what it was like which im sure was bull bc they wouldve stayed the whole exam.

We are all just super anxious! I am anyways! Its hard not to worry about a test that is going to determine your future, yea there is another pcat in jan, but i am guessing that most are hoping they did well enough not to have to do that!

i think it was great to practice..personaly i think it was great experience for me to get exposure of the real exam since it was my frist time taking it, i know now what areas i need to do better in, reading was easy, math was hard...we willl see in jan my friend😱

I agree with you i don't think retaking the pcat in jan. will do anyone that took it in oct (and didn't do well) any good. Just give yrself enough time to replane. My prayers however, is that we all do well and be done with this thing.

ummm somethings wrong with u then bc i hope u know they take ur highest score. believe me things arnt as always as they seem, u say reading was easy but reading isnt like math or chem or bio where u can predict whether an answer is 99.999% right. reading has its iffy moments. goodluck

Well guys at least we are halfway there! I think the next few weeks will breeze by since Thanksgivings almost here, and then finals after that! Anyone doing anything fun for the Thanksgiving holiday? 😉

*runs around screaming with hair on fire*

I'm starting to get antsy! Last time I got the score exactly 5 weeks after the test date. I was pleasantly surprised by the results last time (even though, yes, I did have to retake) so I hope I have that experience again!

according to one of ur post u said u got a 95% PCat and now u retook in oct?? i honestly dont buy that sorry to be honest but with a 95% u are almost guareenteed admision unless ur a complete idiot at interviews and ur GPA is below the min req. or unless ur actually trying to get into a phenomenally tough school??

The school I want to attend requires a 75 in every single section. I got a 69 in Chem, so I had to retake. Sucks, huh?

Hey Anglea when do u think we will get our scores from past experience...would it be the week of thanksgiving or probly the week after thanksgiving....since the 5 week would begin next week...Thanks

Like I said, I got it exactly 5 weeks after the test last time. 5 weeks from October 20th is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I'd expect results any time from November 24-December 1.

Does the Postal Service work the friday and saturday after thanksgiving?

The USPS works 24/7/365. However, they don't deliver mail on Federal holidays, including Thanksgiving. The postal carriers will be out and about on the next two days, though.

Woohoo! Week 5 is finally here! hopefully we get them in week five that would rock, that is unless i bombed the PCAT which in that case it would blow!

From what I know..not all schools take the highest score. It depends on every school. I know of two schools in Texas (University of Texas at Austin and Texas Tech) that accept the most RECENT scores.

It depends on the school. Some schools take the highest score, others the most recent score. Also, I think some schools also look at all scores.

not really expecting much from the october session of the PCAT... i was kinda down about my august scores (thanks math and reading) and i did not study that profusely for the OCT exam so i am not expecting very much... oh well, to those of you that have already secured in the 90+ percentiles, i would just like to say that i hate you... haha, just kidding, i think that's awesome and i wish i could get to that level...

anybody else feel like me about their upcoming results???

I will have to post when i get my results, Harcourt is based in San Antonio where I live, and when I googled them they actually are based a few miles down from where i live, so I will probably get my results before people out of state! ugg i wish we were getting them this week! oh well dont want to ruin Thanksgiving.. lol

I got my June PCAT score exactly 4 weeks after the day I took the test. For the August one, I got it 5 weeks later. It all depends on where you live, the postal service, and when they really send out the score results...

Hi, you mean your number of correct answers are 67 in Chem, right? But your result is "Pass" and Comp score is above 75, right?

Please reply because I am in the similar situation.

Thanks.

No. You do not get to find out the number of correct answers, and there is no "pass" or "fail". I was referring to getting in the 69th percentile for chemistry, and the 95th percentile overall. According to the school in question, this is not high enough. (But I took it again and did better so I am fine now.)
