Hope it’s not too late to help.
1. What type of autonomy is offered in the program? Is there more of a mentorship, or is it more student/attending relationship?
2. How do you offer feedback? Do you correct in the same room as the resident, or do you wait until there is more privacy and offer feedback?
3. What advanced competencies are offered in this practice? Diagnostic imaging interpretation? Advanced procedures?
4. What are you looking for in an ideal candidate?
Remember, you have to be able to see yourself working with a mentor for the next 1-2 years. If you can’t see yourself receiving feedback from the interviewer, it may not be worth the 1-2 years.
Hope this helps!
