I'm asking this question since this is on Firecracker.
So oculocardiac reflex basically is a reflex that when pressure on the eyes are sensed by V1, it triggers the vagus nerve and results in parasympathetic stimulation such as bradycardia.
I've looked some explanation from the internet, but failed to figure out what is the advantage of such reflex.
Does anyone know what benefit we get from oculocardiac reflex? Many thanks in advance.
